Whataburger

It is done. 

In May 2011, Karl and Carol Hoepfner made a resolution to visit every Whataburger restaurant. Now, 15 months, hundreds of meals, thousands of miles, and lots and lots of hugs later — they’ve done it.

The Hoepfners, who were named Whataburger’s Biggest Fans at the April 2011 Family Convention, completed their quest Aug. 8 at the Whataburger at 2741 North Stemmons Frwy. in Dallas, Texas.

“We want to express our gratitude and thank each and every Team Member, Manager, and all those wonderful friends we met along the way,” Karl wrote. “Your smiles, hugs, love and friendliness cheered us when we needed it the most.”  

To commemorate the occasion, Whataburger and the Dobson Family presented the couple with a new minivan as a “thank you” for their efforts.

Hugh Dobson also presented the couple with a special Whataburger keychain that had belonged to his mother, Grace.

The Hoepfners hope to keep giving back to the Whataburger community as well. They plan to auction off much of the Whataburger memorabilia they have collected, and donate the proceeds to the Whataburger Family Foundation.
