Types of Support
Through the Whataburger Charitable Giving program, the company may provide support to selected 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in the following ways:
- Monetary Donation
- Volunteers
- In-Kind Donation
- Event Sponsorship
Please indicate on the Charitable Giving Application which type of support you are applying for.
Food Donation Policy
Due to our focus on quality assurance, Whataburger evaluates food requests on a case by case basis.
Eligibility Requirements
Preferred Focus Areas
Whataburger's charitable giving program provides support to the following preferred focus areas:
- Children's Charities
- Education (programs implemented by 501(c)(3) Organizations that fit
in our focus areas)
- Disabilities
- Abuse Prevention Programs
- Cancer
- Assisting the Hungry
- Special Projects:
- Disaster Relief
- Military Support
Geographic Focus
Based on the location and number of our restaurants, Whataburger may provide support for organizations in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas
Restrictions
Whataburger Charitable Giving only provides support to 501(c)(3) organizations.
Funding will not be given to
- Individuals
- Political parties or candidates
- Endowment campaigns
- Seminars or reunions
- Travel expenditures for individuals
or groups
- Personal utilization of restaurants
for fundraising or third-party
marketing materials
- Reduction of debt
- Provide start up funds or
seed money
- Capital campaigns
- *Sponsorships for organizations
other than non-profit organizations
- Long term commitments
- *Schools
- Scholarships

Deadlines
Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be reviewed at the next deadline. Applications are due on the first Tuesday of each month and must be submitted at least 60 days prior to your event or funding deadline.
Whataburger reserves the right to approve or deny any request.
